Welcome to Homely Holiday Homes

Years ago we started to rent holiday houses. To be with family and friends and in a private venue that was a home from home. Whilst the locations and exteriors often had charm, the interiors regularly failed us. The ones we liked, had one common theme. For one week, it felt like it could have been our own home. Those that failed had broken, mismatched china and only contained unwanted cast offs. The cupboards were bare of the essentials. At the point we had finally managed to make our ‘cottage’ slightly homely, it was time to leave. Often we were asked to clean and wash the bed linen prior to leaving, taking up our last precious few days of holiday.

We decided to buy a house that we would make a real home. We did so and loved it so much; we failed to rent it out. We love Windy Ridge very much. However we have been asked on many occasions if third parties could rent for holiday weeks and weekends. This year we have decided to do so. Windy Ridge is full of the things we care about and happy memories. We hope for one week, it will feel like your home too.

We found we liked holidays in our homely Gower home so much, we are currently doing the same with our townhouse in Viel Antibes, (between Nice and Cannes) and in a rustic Greek village house on the island of Skopelos (the ‘Mama Mia’ Island). We like to feel at home when we are on holiday. Only when we feel our French and Greek house feel truly homely and cosy, will we consider putting them up for holiday rental.
